Early Childhood Connection-Preschool

A free comprehensive child development program for children 3 to 5, concerned with the health, education and welfare of its participants.  The program serves income eligible families or over income families who meet certain criteria.  Children must be three years of age before August 31.  Center and home-based services are provided in Ellis, Rooks, Rush, and Russell counties.

Early Childhood Connection-Parents as Teachers

Parents as Teachers (PAT) is a child development/parenting/family services program for pregnant women and families with a child between birth through age three.  Parent Educators meet with parents once to twice a month in their home.  The primary focus is development and parenting and is open to eligible families that live in the Hays School District.

Ellis County Dolly Parton Imagination Library

Through the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, registered Ellis County children will receive a free, age-appropriate book in the mail each month.

Parents and Children Together (PACT)

Provides educational opportunities to improve the lives of children and reduce the occurrence of child abuse and neglect in Ellis County.  PACT sponsors the "Ten Steps to Positive Discipline" parent education class four times a year.
